A refined kitchen grounded in European precision and coastal calm.
In Lotus Palm, a newly built home became the backdrop for something far more intentional than standard builder-grade selections. From the beginning, the homeowners knew they wanted more than a beautiful kitchen. They wanted a space that felt composed, architectural, and seamlessly connected to the way they live.
Located in Delray Beach, where light pours in and indoor-outdoor living is part of daily rhythm, the kitchen shares one continuous volume with the dining and living areas. That proximity shaped every design decision. The goal was clear: make it feel less like a kitchen and more like a curated extension of the home.
Working alongside eggersmann Designer Ralph Edwards and Technical Designer Lorena Iazzetta, the space was conceived as architectural millwork rather than cabinetry. Refrigeration disappears behind full-height panels that stretch across the wall, creating a calm, uninterrupted surface. The eye reads texture and proportion, not appliances.
Materiality carries the narrative. Vancouver Smoked Oak in a vertical grain match introduces quiet movement and warmth, almost like tailored paneling in a European residence. Denver Kashmir high gloss lacquer reflects natural light and keeps the composition airy and refined. Glance Black framing with Parsol Grey glass adds a subtle industrial edge.
Vetro polished black glass was selected with precision, matching the glass of the Miele wine unit, oven, and coffee machine. The continuity eliminates the introduction of another material or color, creating a seamless visual language where it becomes difficult to distinguish where the cabinetry ends and the appliances begin.
Then there is the stone. Selected for its wave-like movement, it introduces contrast without chaos. The soft flow of the veining evokes coastal calm, while a hint of blue punctuates the otherwise neutral palette. It is both grounding and expressive, a focal point that feels intentional rather than ornamental.
Choosing eggersmann was a natural decision for homeowners who appreciate European heritage and German craftsmanship. The result is not just a kitchen upgrade within new construction. It is a layered, design-driven statement that blurs the boundary between culinary space and living space.
This is what happens when precision meets ease, and when a kitchen becomes part of the architecture itself.
