Project Details
Nestled between uptown and downtown Houston, the exclusive and historic River Oaks neighborhood is home to tree-lined streets, architecturally diverse estates, and some of the city’s best restaurants and luxury retail. More than 100 years after its founding as Houston’s first master-planned community, River Oaks remains one of the city’s most coveted enclaves, known for its well-manicured lots, nearby parks, the member-owned River Oaks Country Club, and proximity to top private schools.
For this new construction home, designer Terri Thibodeaux of Ladco and builder DL Doyle Construction brought the homeowners’ vision to life with precision and elegance. Andrea Villamarin, eggersmann Houston designer, collaborated on the project to create a custom kitchen and bar that combine modern minimalism with warmth and functionality suited to both everyday living and entertaining.
A clean, minimal aesthetic defines the home, where visually enticing finishes and carefully considered details establish a sense of refined simplicity.
The Kitchen
This striking tonal grey kitchen reinterprets the classic color pairing through depth and texture. Three-dimensional tamboured cabinetry fronts and beautifully veined stone surfaces bring movement and visual intrigue, softening the contrast with artistry and balance. Floor-to-ceiling wall cabinetry and an oversized kitchen island provide abundant storage and workspace, achieving a seamless blend of form and function.
