Project Details
Tanglewood is synonymous with creme de la creme whether you are more familiar with the iconic music venue in Massachusetts or with the luxury manses on oversized wooded properties in Houston. The enclave of Tanglewood is nestled with a few minutes drive of all of Houston’s cultural and sports venues and steps from the Galleria shopping and restaurant district. What more could a homeowner want? German-crafted cabinetry throughout your home!
The Team
Andrea collaborated with the clients’ interior designer, Jon Green of Indigo Interior Design; architect, Mauricio Vela Carvajalino of Suburb Concept; and builder, David Stone, Texas Fine Home Builders. Julie Soefer, photographer, and Jessica Holtam, stylist, created the images of this stunning home for your enjoyment.
The Ask
The Tanglewood residents engaged Andrea Villamarin of eggersmann Houston to design their kitchen, pantry, bar, master bath, 4 additional baths, laundry room, office, and his & her wardrobes. The clients wanted their new-construction contemporary home to be out of the ordinary utilizing lively unexpected colors on the cabinetry designed to complement curated pieces from their art collection. The interior designer’s contemporary Mexican design experience and the owners’ native homeland of Mexico steered the design to a nod to famed architect Luis Barragan’s simple but substantial form with introduction of fresh color.
