Set within one of Dallas’ most prestigious neighborhoods, Preston Hollow, this remodel in collaboration with David Lewis brings new life and personality to a reimagined mid-century home. While the architecture offered a strong foundation, the existing kitchen and butler’s bar felt stark, defined by an all-white palette that leaned more toward mass appeal than personal expression. The client, who uses her kitchen from morning through evening, envisioned something entirely different: a space with warmth, depth, and a sense of inspiration woven into everyday routines. Function was just as important as feeling—every detail needed to support the rhythm of daily life while elevating the experience of being in the space.
That vision came into focus the moment she stepped into the eggersmann Dallas showroom to meet with Sales & Designer, Kegan Wilson, alongside her designer, Allison Gimpel. Drawn immediately to a walnut display, she connected with its richness and presence—an emotional response that would go on to shape the entire direction of the project. The goal became clear: reinterpret that feeling and translate it seamlessly into her own home.
The result is a kitchen and butler’s bar that balance precision with personality. Warm wood tones replace the previous sterility, introducing texture and depth while complementing the home’s mid-century character. Every element is considered, supporting both high-performance functionality and a more intimate, lived-in atmosphere. The client’s distinct eye for art and furniture further enriches the space. Her ability to blend refined elements with more playful, expressive pieces ensures the design feels collected rather than constructed—an authentic reflection of how she lives.
