project details
The homeowners worked with the architectural and design duo, Nancy Leib and Paul Dickel, on the merging of two high-rise units in the Turtle Creek enclave in Dallas. When the owners and designers visited our Dallas Design District showroom to peruse our luxury closet offerings, the project’s kitchen areas had already been designed. The homeowners kept getting distracted by our kitchens systems, especially our boxtec drawer organizers and work’s turnstile pantries. Before leaving that day, the clients, with Nancy and Paul’s blessing, decided they had to have an eggersmann kitchen as well as closets.
Designers, Nancy and Paul, discussed with their eggersmann Dallas designer, Kegan Wilson, their desire to help the homeowners achieve a timeless, classic, and warm, yet contemporary kitchen. They had specified medium to darker bronze accents and natural neutral wood tones throughout the home.
So our Torino Dark Bronze and Trondheim Teak Lava finishes were the perfect selections to meld the new main kitchen design into the overall design. The back kitchen’s finishes of Sydney Dark Metal Décor and Vetro Mirror Bronze kept with the overall tones while adding a light and texture.
luxury kitchen project challenges
Installing in a high-rise always presents logistical challenges, but this particular project was even more unique as the clients were combining two existing residences on adjacent floors into one. Opening the floor plan while maximizing living space left many immovable walls and corridors as well as ceiling height changes for mechanicals such as ducting, electrical, and plumbing traveling to floors above and below. While these type of construction irregularities could pose problems for many cabinetry manufacturers, eggersmann’s ability to customize every dimension assured the client received exactly what they dreamed of with ease.
Not only were the cabinets crafted to exacting detail, our professional installation team worked during 2020’s peak of COVID-19 restrictions to ensure that everything went as expected.
the results
With the special challenges handled, the homeowners were completely thrilled that their unimaginable dreams had come to life. Their designers were well-supported in their endeavors to deliver a highly functional and gorgeous space.
