Oceanside living redefined through bold forms, moody materials, and a distinctly modern, monolithic approach.
Perched dramatically on a steep mountainside overlooking miles of ocean, this new construction home redefines coastal luxury with a bold, architectural presence. Set within the ultra-exclusive El Dorado Golf & Beach Club community in Cabo, Mexico, the residence blends panoramic views with a refined, modern sensibility—creating a private retreat designed for both escape and entertaining.
At the heart of the home, the kitchen embodies a powerful yet understated vision. eggersmann USA designer Gabriela Espinoza worked in collaboration with renowned designer Gonzalo Bueno of Ten Plus Three, and the space was driven by the client’s desire for a monolithic, minimalist aesthetic. Rich, dark wood finishes anchor the design, delivering a masculine and sophisticated atmosphere while maintaining a sense of warmth through carefully balanced surrounding materials. The story behind the project adds a personal layer to the design. Having collaborated with Gonzalo Bueno on multiple homes across Colorado and throughout the United States, the client approached this Mexico residence with a clear intention—this home would be entirely his. The result is a kitchen tailored to his lifestyle: a striking yet functional space designed for hosting friends after long days on the golf course, while still offering comfort, durability, and ease for everyday family living.
Clean lines, seamless integration, and a restrained material palette define the space, allowing the architecture and views to take center stage. This home was brought to life through a thoughtful collaboration between Gabriela, Gonzalo, Adam Gilmer of Berglund Architects, and the construction team at Cardon Development Company led by Brad Gavin. Technical design was expertly executed by eggersmann’s Kyndal Trigg and Brittany Krueger, ensuring every detail aligned with the project’s bold vision. The result is a kitchen that feels as grounded and intentional as the landscape it overlooks—modern, monolithic, and undeniably refined.
