Project: Dallas High-Rise Renovated Kitchen & Bar

Project: Dallas High-Rise Renovated Kitchen & Bar

Project Details

Dallas Arts District’s Museum Tower is a one-of-a-kind elliptical 42-story skyscraper housing exceptional residences. The building offers floor-to-ceiling glass with panoramic views of Dallas art scene landmarks such as Klyde Warren Park, Nasher Sculpture Center, Meyerson Symphony Center, and the Winspear Opera house.

Owners of these luxury high-rise homes have access to enviable amenities such as 24/7 concierge, exclusive owner events, private fitness coordination, event planning assistance, pool-side butler, house car service, basic home maintenance, and even dog walking. Their services are personal and custom such as restocking your refrigerator prior to your return from a trip or helping you plan the best birthday bash for a friend.

The Ask

Soon after purchasing their aerie, the new homeowners visited eggersmann Dallas. The clients worked with Gabriela Espinoza sharing their desires for something new and refreshing for their kitchen and bar. They wanted something that no one has ever seen before.

The existing kitchen layout was outdated and tired. But, luckily, the position of the appliances and plumbing worked for the new modern layout. The only big change to the footprint of the kitchen was extending the existing the west wall to accommodate more cabinetry storage, a full 30” refrigerator column, and an 18” freezer column.

Our client wanted the kitchen to feel timeless and clean, yet warm and contemporary.

The Solutions

The metal and mirror finishes we made the focal points of the design were a match made in heaven!

The island and stove-area worktop were clad in eggersmann’s exclusive 5mm hot-rolled stainless steel Silver Touch®. You’ll rarely, if ever, see a 5 mm steel top, so we were well on our way to a kitchen never seen before. Combining the hot-rolled steel with our warm mirror bronze doors was the perfect juxtaposition of cool and warm tones to create an undeniable richness and definitively unique touch.

The kitchen cabinets not only look unique, but also offer incredible amounts of customized storage behind electric automatic lift doors activated by just a touch. We amped up the usefulness of the one corner cabinet with pullouts for easy access and maximized use of cabinet space.

The compact function-packed bar took a life of its own with expertly grain-matched exotic wood veneer fronts with vertical grain.

The light and mid tones of the wood set it apart from the homogeneous bronze and steel tones of the kitchen. The reflective mirror back, glass shelving, and inset LED lighting create a clean, inviting area for hosting a small party or large gathering.

Although small, the bar contains all our client’s storage needs for entertaining during every season of the year.
