New Westlake Dual Kitchens

Westlake, Texas, is a sought-after community in the DFW Metroplex that is known for its upscale homes, excellent schools, and proximity to the Texas Hill Country. The vast green spaces, trail-filled parks, and oversized lots lend a rural feel to this suburban oasis. With immediate proximity to exceptional dining, shopping, DFW International Airport, and the renowned Vaquero Golf Club, you’re sure to have everything you’d every need within arm’s reach. This exceptional developing community continues to draw busy executives, celebrities, and professional athletes and their beautiful families.

The future homeowners of this new construction Westlake home came to eggersmann Dallas seeking ideas to build their dream home. They talked with eggersmann Dallas designer, Kegan Wilson, to share their vision of a modern showpiece kitchen with a back kitchen for prepping. They sought a clean, simple, and unique aesthetic and had many inspiration images including dark and black kitchens. After several revisions, they trusted Kegan to take the wheel to design the spaces using their vision and budget as guidance. His experience with eggersmann finishes and innovative convenient features created a kitchen and back kitchen with the style and usability the homeowners desired.

 

Kegan collaborated with builder, Stewart Custom Homes to create the Westlake kitchen areas from the ground up. The final dual kitchen design features many hidden bells and whistles.

The Show Kitchen

The show kitchen’s gorgeous monochromatic, moody palette and modern lines immediately capture your eye upon entering the home. The dark cabinetry with all storage hidden was the homeowners’ wish. A delicate linear LED chandelier brings soft organic curves to juxtapose the straight lines of the modern cabinetry.

 

A dining bartop in contrasting light wood slightly elevates the breakfast bar. The use of eggersmann’s Core Walnut Veneer as the island’s bartop finish inspired the wood ceiling and brings a natural warmth into the space. A bar hidden by pocket doors brings function and convenience to the living area adjacent to the kitchen.

The Back Kitchen

The Back Kitchen is the perfect co-star of the show. It may be used completely independently or in conjunction with the show kitchen for additional prep space or oven capacity.

With the additional sink as well as cooking, cleaning, and catering appliances, its two elevations create immense storage, prep space, and function for all occasions and everyday use. The dark palette, matte-textured stone, and use of organic decor including live plants create a sense of peace and serenity in this oversized room designed for activity.

Prospective clients who visit our showroom for the first time often ask us about the design process. At eggersmann, we have an extensive finish and front collection to personalize your spaces to fit nearly every style and contemporary, modern, or transitional project in any room of your home. Part of the retained design process is delivery and walk-through of a set of renderings using the finishes that you, or your designer, builder, or architect choose.
