Kitchen Confidential with Alison Victoria

On May 30, 2019, guests, fans, and clients joined us at eggersmann Chicago to meet and greet Alison Victoria. While enjoying delicious morsels from Limelight Catering, Alison spoke about her experiences designing and filming the second season of HGTV’s Windy City Rehab along with publishing Sophisticated Living Magazine Chicago.

Alison gave her expert advice on the latest design trends and answered our guests questions. She shared that her favorite part of designing a home is creating an expansive open kitchen and living room with highly functional areas and ample leisure lounging spaces. She noted some of the trends especially in the eggersmann showroom that make them more functional and comfortable:

Sliding countertops (see video at right) especially when work space can become seating/dining space
The Galley workstation sink adds extra countertop area and makes the most of your sink going from prepping to serving in the same functional space
hiding appliances with coplanar sliding doors, pocket doors, revolving panels, and sliding countertops
the kitchen’s working triangle and kitchen island design.

As a home remodeler, she has experienced that kitchens are one of the best investments.

Alison recommends homeowners and developers choose a timeless, well-made cabinetry like eggersmann.
