Beginning in Herford: The Heart of eggersmann
The journey began with arrivals in Frankfurt before traveling north to Herford, the home of eggersmann and the center of our manufacturing operations. Over welcome drinks and dinner with the German team, Concierge members were introduced to the people who bring our designs to life every day.
The following day provided an in-depth look at one of our most important material partners, EGGER Group, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of decorative laminates, textured boards, and innovative surfaces. Touring the Brilon facility offered valuable insight into how the materials used in eggersmann cabinetry are engineered, finished, and developed with both performance and aesthetics in mind.
Back in Herford, guests explored the city’s architectural and cultural landmarks before gathering for dinner and conversation.
Behind the Scenes at the Factory
One of the most anticipated moments of the trip was a full-day tour inside the eggersmann factory and lacquer shop. Guests explored our showroom and production facilities, observing every step of the process—from precision engineering to custom finishing.
In the lacquer facility, the group saw firsthand how our signature surfaces are sprayed and perfected, whether in high-gloss, matte, textured, or bespoke color applications. These behind-the-scenes experiences offer a deeper appreciation for the level of craftsmanship, technical expertise, and attention to detail that define every eggersmann project.
For many attendees, seeing the production process in person transformed their understanding of the product. Details that are often admired in a finished kitchen—perfect reveals, seamless integrations, and extraordinary finishes—took on new meaning when viewed at their source.
Cologne and the Schmalenbach Experience
Midweek, the group traveled by Germany’s high-speed rail network to Cologne, where they were welcomed by Schmalenbach Design CEO Karsten Schmalenbach. Together, the group enjoyed an unforgettable performance by the world-renowned Circus Roncalli during its 50th anniversary season and explored the awe-inspiring Cologne Cathedral, one of Germany’s most iconic architectural landmarks.
The following morning, guests toured the Schmalenbach factory, gaining insight into the engineering and craftsmanship behind our luxury wardrobe systems. From refined interiors to highly specialized storage solutions, the visit highlighted the same dedication to customization and precision that defines every product in the eggersmann portfolio.
Into Bavaria with CUBIC Outdoor Living
The final chapter of the journey brought the group south to the Bavarian countryside, where they were welcomed by CUBIC Outdoor Living. After checking into the picturesque Dorint Resort & Spa Bad Brückenau, guests experienced the beauty of the surrounding gardens and landscape.
At the CUBIC factory and showroom, Concierge members explored how our outdoor kitchens are manufactured and assembled, followed by an afternoon excursion through the Bavarian region.
The day culminated in a hands-on grilling experience, with the group preparing dinner together on the very kitchens they had just seen being built—the perfect ending to a week filled with learning, inspiration, and meaningful connection.

The Concierge Trip is designed as a gesture of appreciation to the designers, builders, and industry partners who are integral to the eggersmann community. It is our way of saying thank you while offering an immersive experience that strengthens product knowledge and fosters lasting relationships.
By walking the factory floors, meeting the teams behind our collections, and experiencing the culture and craftsmanship of Germany, our Concierge members gain a deeper understanding of what makes eggersmann unique.
