About the Artist
Jennifer Rae Ochs (JRO) is a Los Angeles-based fine artist and designer known for bold, textured abstractions inspired by global travel, music, and storytelling. Originally from Minnesota and classically trained in piano, she shifted from mixed media and sculpture to painting after graduating from the University of Minnesota in 1997. Her early work gained recognition with a debut at Bergamot Station and later on an international stage at the Sejong Museum of Art in Seoul, South Korea.
Through her studio, JRO ART, she creates original artwork, wearable pieces, home décor, and licensed collaborations with brands including New York & Company, Shoe Dazzle, and ExpressionMed. Her designs have been featured in People Magazine and shared by Hollywood A-listers. JRO exhibits across the United States and abroad, producing commissioned work for private collectors, hospitality, public art, and corporate collections.
She currently splits her time between her Los Angeles studio, the lakes of Minnesota, and travel for exhibition tours. Her work reflects a life of exploration, discipline, and creativity grounded in personal experience.
