Goddess Gala of Fine Arts – RNDD 5th Annual Gallery Walk
special guest called "the living statue" in the eggersmann kitchens chicago showroom during the rndd gallery walk 2019

eggersmann hosted an amazing party during the Chicago’s River North Design District (RNDD) 5th Annual Gallery Walk on Friday, September 6, 2019. The event was so much more than an exhibit. It was truly an entertaining and moving experience from beginning to end. Guests knew they were in for something special from the moment they approached eggersmann as spray-painted floral designs swirled along the sidewalk at the entrance.

Guests were treated to delicious cheeses, fruits and tantilizing rosé with garnished orchids as they toured the studio full of unique art and designs.

The theme of the night among our talented artists and designer was women and finding your inner goddess. Bruno Surdo & Michael Van Zeyl, both from the Victor Armendariz Gallery, captured many beautiful portrayals of the female body. Interior designer Victoria Hardy designed her interpretations to tie into the paintings. It was truly a stunning collaboration.

A surprise for our guests was a living statue from the Chicago Actors Gym, a real life model fully painted by Rosa Flor Designs. The goddess-like living statue embodied the theme of the exhibits, as she greeted guests and posed at the photo booth featuring an oversized, over-the-top frame. Beside the life-size frame was a sleek, LED, color changing make-up mirror from our partners at KEUCO.

The statue moved throughout the art exhibits enchanting guests. It was hard to believe that this work of art was…alive!  The pictures do not do the artwork, vignettes or the living statue justice, but do take time to explore them below!

Proceeds Benefitted buildOn

In addition to the fun and exquisite artwork, the RNDD Gallery Walk also raised funds to benefit buildOn. This worthy organization changes the lives of children in a developing country while simultaneously changing the perspective and often the life outcome of individual youth in the US.

BuildOn programs have proven to improve school drop-out rates improve and increase the awareness of American young people in economically challenged areas of the impact they can have on the world and how much their individual choices matter to themselves and the people around them.
