Project: LA High-Rise Luxury Built-In Furniture

Project Details

Luxury built-in furniture was the perfect answer to the storage and display needs of our globe-trotting client in her newly built Four Seasons Private Residences in Los Angeles.

She worked with our eggersmann LA showroom team, designer designer, James McCabe, and technical designer, Katsumi Martinez, to realize her vision which was to display her favorite travel mementos and store the many items needed for frequent entertaining. The team maximized the entry hallway and walls of the living/dining area to add function, beauty, and interest.

The Solutions

Entry Hallway Storage & Display

The new Four Seasons LA resident wanted to share her beautiful plates, bowls, and glassware that were all very sentimental to her. James and Katsumi suggested using the hallway wall to add storage and display space putting her most favorite collected items within view when entering the residence.

Glass-front wall cabinets with LED strip lighting offer easy appreciation of the exquisite handcrafted glassware while keeping them dust-free and ready for use. The center of the wall cabinet has open shelving for larger objets d’art.

The floating credenza-style drawer units below the shelving offered additional areas to display her favorite things. The mirrored backing between the shelving and drawers offer excellent light reflection in the hallway and superior view of treasures sitting atop the drawer units.

We commissioned October Company to create custom silverware inserts to store and protect the silverware. The luxury drawer organizers keep the flatware easy to access and ready to use.

Hideaway Bar and Storage

The dining area is open to the living area so its wall was the perfect location for a bar. But, when not in use, this modern built-in furniture piece looks like custom storage with glass shelves for decorative touches.

Bespoke Media Center

Having a television and electronics is convenient for family enjoyment and for parties featuring the big game. But it needn’t look ordinary. The eggersmann team designed an incredibly functional media center to make the TV disappear into a modern blocks design. Additional hidden storage and art niches offer a lot of versatility.
