Incorporated as an independent suburb in 1953, West Lake Hills remains an independent town since 1953 though Austin literally surrounds it. Palatial hillside homes nestle into the rocky, rolling, and verdant terrain affording incredible views. Tranquil residential streets and family-friendly amenities like parks and kid-friendly local restaurants give you the sense of a suburb cloistered far from the city center. Yet, this south-after community is only six miles northwest of downtown Austin. Surprisingly, in this urban setting, homes require a one-acre minimum making the 2,560 acres (4 square miles) of real estate in this small town a very hot commodity.
In addition to all that West Lake Hills offers, Austin’s expansive outdoor recreational opportunities are nearby making this neighborhood the perfect place to build a family home.
Our clients’ new construction home in West Lake Hills is secluded and hidden from the main road. The juxtaposition of the modern modular architecture nestled into mature forest is delightful. The views from the backyard look into the horizon of the rolling Hill Country with the Colorado River at the bottom of the infinity pool.

The Kitchen
The homeowner wanted a modern black-and-white kitchen and well-organized pantry aesthetically conforming to the undeviating design of the exterior of the house. Our client met with eggersmann designer, Micky Nguyen in our Houston luxury cabinetry showroom and the ultra-modern black and white kitchen came to life.
Incorporating hideaway pocket doors and eggersmann’s work’s cabinetry system to conceal small appliances, crockery, tableware, and everyday pantry needs.
High gloss icy white lacquer and Paso Nano Black finishes deliver the clean, sharply defined lines desired. The eggersmann unique cabinetry collection’s durable Fenix Core in Nano Black for a dramatic raised countertop on the island.
A Schmalenbach glass display case was custom-designed to show off treasured travel mementos and collectibles. Integrated LED lights in the glass shelves showcase their priceless collection.
The Butler’s Pantry
An extensive pantry with functionality such as its own sink keeps your modern kitchen clean and tidy. This storage-packed offers integrated refrigeration, zoned wine fridge, prep sink, and expansive food prep area to make everyday cooking and dinner parties stress-free.
The pantry cabinetry use Dallas icy white lacquered fronts with melamine edging to keep the eggersmann look and quality, but a more cost saving route for this secondary space.
